Creative “Audigy 2 ZS” to have video editing

This latest addition to the “Audigy” series of sound cards will include features and accompanying software to allow users to edit video “on the fly.” Creative feels that the hardware video encoding offered by their new product will give them an edge over the competition’s software-based encoding. Video inputs/outputs include DV, S-Video, and Composite. The ZS will be an external device that connects to your PC via USB 2.0.

Video aside, the new device features THX Certified 24-bit audio from 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound and EAX support. Audio connectivity will be available in Optical, digital, and analog.

The ZS should be available later this year with a rumored price of $385
