DTV Released Today

The Participatory Culture Foundation released the long-awaited Beta version of DTV today. This is a sort of front-end for their software Broadcast Machine, which makes it easy to set up your own Internet TV Channel with Direct Download or Bittorrent-based videos.

You can subscribe to channels using the application, and have new videoposts downloaded automatically to your computer while you are away/sleeping/working, ready for viewing when you get in.
