Grid Pro beta4 Released

Vidvox has released the latest version of their 2-Bus Video Mixing/Triggering software, Grid Pro.
New in this release is a powerful new ‘Events’ system, separate FX busses, new FX, and new Transitions.

By far, my favorite new feature is the separate FX busses. You can now build an FX chain for bus A, bus B, or the final mix. It’s currently done by switching through three tabs, which they say will be changed for the final version – though the tabs are just fine by me. I’ll see how it goes once I’ve used the new system in a few shows, but I usually only work on one FX chain at once – and if I need more control, I can always map those hidden fx to MIDI or analysis.

Grid Pro is shaping up to be a wonderful VJ program – now if I could only combine their fantastic FX and innovative features with Modul8’s speed and 3D manipulation capabilities….
