iVisualize - Quartz Composer Plugin for iTunes

Vogelbush has created a plugin for iTunes that enables Quartz Compositions as Visualizers! This is a fantastic use of Quartz Composer – you’ve got to wonder if Apple wasn’t planning on doing this themselves down the line. If they do, c’est la vie – the author is releasing this as Freeware.

Additionally, he’s running a contest for compositions to be included in the release. Since this is a Freeware project, the “contest” is really an open call for collaborators who are willing to work for free like he is – as long as they can put together a decent QC comp.

I’m heading to San Francisco for about a week, but I’ll see if I can whip some of my comps into shape and send them in – why don’t you do the same, faithful reader?
